About

Giving Black

Giving Black is a celebration of Black philanthropy, drawing on traditions of generosity among continental Africans and Africa's global diaspora in the Caribbean, Europe, the Americas, the UK, and across the world.

Black Philanthropy Month

Philanthropy is the heartbeat of the world. It is a reciprocal exchange of generosity between people.

Black philanthropic customs are rich and deep rooted in African culture. From ubuntu, to harambee, from remittances to faith-based giving, from charitable donations, to everyday acts of generosity; we share stories about the power of Black philanthropy.

Join the conversation. Register for the Giving Black Conference – a celebration of Black Philanthropy Month (August), and tune in to the soon to be launched Giving Black Podcast.
